The Basic Message of Easter
It doesn't matter if you are a bishop, a Catholic, a Lutheran, a Methodist, or a Christian in some respects, Easter is the highlight of our year. With their themes of His victory over death and His resurrection, we prepare for the Ascension of our Lord.
It is important to realize that Salvation is not just a historical event that happened in the distant past with other people elsewhere. The same spiritual power that was present at the Resurrection is here and now with us. Easter is truly an opportunity for rebirth for those who understand them. People who are interested in their own spiritual growth and well-being look at the Easter season with great anticipation. The rituals we follow give us time to meditate, pray, and repent, which can lead to our own rebirth.
The early Christians no longer focused on the exodus from Egyptian bondage, but on a new kind of exodus from the bondage of sin into the new life of our Risen Lord.
Sometimes in the weeks before Easter, we have feelings of discomfort and sadness. We walked around the threshold without understanding why. It's because we mourn in a way. We mourn the loss of a part of our being, even though our sinfulness is something we need to get rid of, we still mourn its loss. Why? Because we know the moral standards of sin, we feel special comfort in experiencing them.
Sinfulness is deep in man; it is an attitude, a willingness to turn people away from the Creator. Often we don't even think about this divine transition. Only after realizing that he has rejected his face and divorced can he hope for perfect unity. But how do we get from our deeply wrong state of sin to a state of renewal? Followers of Christ are healed. Jesus paid the price once and for all to save ourselves. Each of our Gods recovered by saving Christ's action.
Spiritual power during Easter time gives us a unique opportunity to understand our own redemption. We must remember that life stops series and starts, spiritual growth and spiritual retreat. We have spiritual growth in all our lives until the day we die. I wish this Passover was an opportunity to explore the reason for your own life.
