 Why You Should Blog!

I've had a blog for just over two months. Many of my mentor students have asked me for blogging advice. So far I have hesitated to teach a lot about blogging because it's not something I still feel I know. I feel much more comfortable teaching things I know.

Well, I took a look at Alexa today and noticed that this blog almost makes it into the top 10,000 most visited sites on the internet today. I have been successful with many of the methods that are unique to blog promotion. I heard it was time to write a blog promotion post, BUT WAIT! I haven't even explained why I have this blog. I can't really throw myself into traffic to your blog without explaining why I have a blog and why you should have one too; Now I can?

Let's go back to my story. I did it online without many of the tools you see me offering today. I had no products. He had no copywriting skills. My search engine rankings were the key to my original success on the Internet. You should simply build top-tier websites for certain markets and sell traffic from those sites directly to those with copywriting skills and products. Obviously, I don't recommend it anymore. Having your own product and your writing skills are multiplying factors for how to get traffic. Today, I am focusing on all three aspects of your internet business and I recommend that you do the same.

That said, don't underestimate the traffic business. Consider this. Who is the richest man in the world? Right. Bill Gates. Sell ​​software. Software is good business! However, consider this. Who are the 3 leading sites on the internet? Go see Alexa if you don't know. ALL RIGHT; don't check. I just tell you:

1. Yahoo

2. Google

3. MSN (Microsoft)

Now take a look at that third. This is the company that Bill Gates (the richest man in the world, remember?) Founded. You are now playing on the Internet at number 3.

Now; let's drop by here. What do those three sites sell? ALL RIGHT; take a minute for this. There will be an exam.

Right. They sell the traffic (or mainly they sell traffic. Yahoo and MSN are a little more different). Isn't that interesting? The richest man in the world who walks that road selling software now wants to sell traffic. ALL RIGHT; it was a distraction. Well, let's get back to that later. What I wanted to tell you about was my traffic selling experience (which is still most of my business). I made a mistake. I have been selling anonymous traffic with company names. None of my traffic clients know who I am. They simply buy traffic from XYZ Corporation because it turns into sales for them. XYZ Corporation has no personality. In fact, it's fully automated and it seems like most of my clients like it that way.

I tried to change it a couple of years ago. I started sending them emails to teach them how to get the most out of my traffic service. I arrived too late. They didn't know me and they didn't want to know about me.

Then I tried one last try (glad I did) by offering them a traffic special that month. I think I got a two-for-one deal or something. More than 25% of my customers bought a new campaign that day. I've made over $ 60,000 in one day since that email. I thought it was great! I still do. I can write a single email and make thousands of dollars in a single day. I think many marketers like it. The power of your customer list is unbelievable! If you can convert 2% of strangers into customers with a sales page, you can convert 25% of your existing customers into customers of another product with the same sales page. This is powerful!

I tried it with another product. It was a good product. It was Mine. It was the search engine search leading to the traffic those customers were buying. In fact, he was offering to teach them how to generate the same traffic he was selling them. It collapsed miserably. Nobody bought. I have tried various other products. Whatever. Why?

Some of the answers told me right away. Although I wrote under the name of the company, they did not know me. I will repeat it. They didn't know me. They knew my company. They knew my business was driving heavy conversion traffic, but they just didn't know me. Approval of one company by another is not very powerful. It is not as powerful as an individual's support.

So, I continued with the Freedom Events. You know how it went. Based on the approval of some well-known Internet marketers, they have sold out. Lesson learned. To get that 25% number, you need one of the following:

1. Advertise your customers as a business and sell a special offer on your business product that your customers already know about. 2. Marketing your customers as a person and selling a special offer on any product that you personally approve and have never given a bad product approval to your customers before.

I wanted to do the latter with my clients, not with those of another internet marketer.

What's the best way to do this? When I look around, a blog is a perfect vehicle to do this. Since I sell products (and cross-promote them on the owners' pages), I also promote this blog. I do this very early in the process. It is mentioned on the owner's page and it is also mentioned in the first email most people receive after purchasing one of my products.

They buy the product from a stranger, but I introduce myself as the creator of that product very soon by reporting it on this blog.

So, I don't hide the blog behind some corporate image. You buy my products from a company, but do you also know the name of that company? Who cares what his name is? I want you to meet me. This is the purpose of this blog.

Now some people are finding this blog before they buy one of my products. This is fine too. Some people buy a product based on the sales page. Some buy because they know the creator never makes junk. Some have a combination of these reasons.

ALL RIGHT; so yes you should have a blog. I suggest you blog between your third and fourth product in your primary market. That was when I started this blog. This is also the time when you want to start cross-promoting your 3-4 products on their owners' pages.

Here are some other things that I think are important:

1. Register your domain name for your blog. 2. Put your name at the top, not a bad blog name.

3. Share yourself. Don't blog like you're a customer service rep who answers the phone for a large company and never reveals anything about you, just the business script. Chat with your customers as if they were dear friends. Don't give out your home address or phone number, but in the context of the blog, what are you afraid of? Make yourself known to your blog readers.

4. Publish frequently. People can get into the habit of doing something every day or every hour very easily. It is much more difficult to acquire a weekly or monthly habit. Post at least once a day so your blog readers can get into the daily habit of reading what you have to say.

5. Don't worry about giving away your product secrets. This is one of the reasons why I only sell tutoring software, videos, and products right now. It is not possible to accidentally reveal too much text on your blog. Software and video are more powerful media than text. I can explain in words during the day how to do something; It will still be useful to buy the software to automate that task and/or buy the video to really see how it all works.

6. Get a sign up link on your blog (and all your content sites). Some people will want to follow your blog, but they won't remember it. You must provide them with a form that allows you to send them reminders when you post. This will greatly increase the number of regular visitors over time.

ALL RIGHT; I think this answers the question of why I have a blog and why you should too and how you should set it up. Now I can move on to the specific ways to drive blog traffic that only exist for blogs, not other types of sites. I will do this in a future post.

Write an article and submit it to your blog, then submit it through Artemis Pro with your blog mentioned in the article resource box.
